The Parish Church of St Peter, Paul & Thomas (PPT) has a congregation of about 150 adults and 30 children from the small market town of Bovey Tracey, Devon, and its surrounding villages. It is linked with the smaller rural village of Hennock, 3 miles to the north, and the parish church of St Mary’s Hennock.
Our Community
Church Mission
Jesus gave his disciples one Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, and two great commandments, to love God with all their hearts and to love their neighbours as themselves. For information on how we seek to fulfil this mission in three steps, see our Purpose & Belief statements.
Easter at PPT
There are several special events in the season from Easter (5 April) to Pentecost (24 May). We will be celebrating St George’s Day with a special service for youth organisations at 5pm on Sunday 26 April, and our Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held after a united service at 10am on Sunday 3 May. There will be Evensong on Thursday 14 May to celebrate the Ascension of Jesus.

Safeguarding Statement
We believe that we are all created in the image of God, and as such, the image of God is to be safeguarded in all. It is especially important that the image of God is protected in those who may be less able to discern where others may abuse and mar that image. We take the safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults seriously at PPT.
We adopt the House of Bishops’ safeguarding policy ‘Promoting a Safer Church‘, and have a Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO)

Safeguarding is a responsibility for us all, so if you have any concerns, please speak to the Vicar or the PSO If you have concerns that a child or adult is in immediate danger, call the police on 999.
We are aware that the church holds within its communities many survivors of abuse. Any disclosures made to the Vicar or PSO will be taken seriously and dealt with appropriately.
